I know I don't post much art anymore (hell, my art muses are off snogging each other most of the time) and it's all fine and good that there are a lot of adoptables on there, but what really irritates me the most is the following:
1. The artist who has the adoptable up puts "Only those who draw regularly/Have been on TLKFAA for years may adopt this character!"
I don't mind the fact that they like the veterans of the site, or those who submit art everyday. But what really irritates me about this is that they single out the rest of the artists for the simple fact that they aren't veterans and don't have umpteen hundred images in their section of the archives.
2. The artist who has the adoptable up puts "You must draw this character before adopting him/her/it!"
Again, I don't mind the fact that they like those who submit art everyday. But there are those on TLKFAA who don't like feeling obligated to draw a character they are receiving from another artist. It's almost as if the person who is giving away the adoptable is trying to shackle down the artist who wants to adopt the character.
3. The artist who has the adoptable up then contacts you saying "Thank you for adopting [insert name/description here]!" and then takes the character away if you don't reply to them or draw the character often.
This is my biggest irk. I realize that a lot of artists want to make sure the character "goes to a good home" but be realistic. Not everyone wants to be put under the impression that they must draw the character often or the person who created it will take it away and give it to someone else. Not everyone wants to be put under the impression that they must follow silly guidelines before agreeing to adopt a character they can easily alter or make a character similar to.
I'm probably the only one who feels this way, I just wanted to get all this off my chest.
